18-23 SEPTEMBER 2022, PREPARATORY TRAINING JOHANNESBURG
We are finally back to physical participant trainings again after a long Covid break. We are rigged to have up to 40 participants for this training that will take place in Johannesburg.
The main purpose of the preparatory training is to prepare the participants for living and working in a new culture. The training is mandatory for all participants in Norec’s programs and consists of two parts. First, you will be enrolled to an e-learning course five weeks before we meet Sunday 18th of September for this six day training.
During the training we go through the following modules:
- Being a Norec participant
- Communicating your exchange
- Intercultural adjustment in the Norec role
- Health, safety and security
- Global Understanding
Upon approval of your Norec project, we will send a sign up link to the coordinating partner. Registration is open from mid June 2022. The coordinating partner is responsible for submitting names and contact information for each participant within the deadline 5th of August 2022.
After the deadline Norec sends a digital pre-training to each participant. This pre-training consists of important information about Norec, the participants role and responsibilities, a checklist and an overview of the onsite training.
Three weeks before the training we will send out a link for transport registration. To be sure to be picked up at the airport, the partner needs to submit arrival/departure details and dietary requirements.
Board and lodging is covered by Norec.
Travel costs are funded through the CA budget, covered by the partner.
Extra nights before/after the training must be covered by the partnership.
The training is done by Norec staff with assistance from external facilitators and a local logistical supplier.
We will make sure that the hotel will follow Coronavirus guidelines regarding hygiene etc.
We reccoment that the training is done before – or shortly after – the exchange starts at the host partner.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask Norec training: email@example.com. You may also ask your programme adviser for details about the budget.
