Hotel and accommodation

Practical information

  • The trainings start Thursday 16 April, and end with a farewell party on Tuesday 21 April. Departure is Wednesday 22 April after breakfast.
  • Norec will cover full board and accommodation in this period, including airport transfers.
  • A link for airport transfer bookings will be sent to the coordinating partners.
  • Please note that registration and training will start Thursday 17 april from 16:00. If there are no flights matching this time Thursday, it is advised to arrive the day before. Early arrival or late departure will have to be approved by Norec on beforehand.

Facilitators

Jai Ganapathy

Jai has been teaching, training and conducting courses for various groups from government institutions, NGOs, universities and colleges, private institutions both within Norway and abroad.  Diversity is the key term for the groups that he has been involved through the years. He is a social anthropologist and has qualification within multicultural pedagogy. This has given him a unique exposure and insight to meet, understand and work with a diverse group of people from all around the world. He has been working in the field of multicultural understanding, diversity and conflict resolution since 1992. He has been a facilitator for Norec since 2012.

Niels Jacob Harbitz

Nils Jacob has worked in the field human rights and development for more than 15 years. His areas of expertise spans from the freedoms of expression and information, association and peaceful assembly to the rights of women and children, minorities and marginalised and vulnerable groups. Throughout his time in this field, he has taught at various levels, created and led numerous workshops, and coordinated trainings and advocacy campaigns. Harbitz has particularly worked towards Central, East and Horn of Africa, but has also conducted research and taught in parts of Asia, Latin America, Southern Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe.
