Health Communication and Education through Participatory Learning Models using Community Radios

Empowering Local Communities and Health Knowledge Through Radio Communication

By using community radios, these two partners in Bangladesh and Nepal cooperate on ways to communicate health, both on a general, educational basis as well to inform the community on urgent health concerns. They empower their communities and their means of communication by utilizing a community learning programme (CLP). This programme is built on the premises of co-learning where community participation is vital.  The participants are a mix of practitioners, consisting of health communication groups, a community-based health organisation, producers from community radio stations and training agencies working on health and education.
