This project facilitates a bidirectional exchange of 8 professionals between Ghana and South Africa to address the growing crisis of solar and hazardous e-waste. AppCyclers (Ghana) will gain critical technical capacity in handling solar PV and hazardous lighting waste by rotating staff through EWaste Africa's specialised facilities. In return, EWaste Africa (South Africa) will integrate AppCyclers’ digital profiling tools and inclusive community sourcing models to enhance their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) data tracking. The goal is to standardise safety protocols and digitise the informal waste sector across both regions.
