Whistleblowing

You should report any suspected breaches of laws and regulations, internal policies or ethical standards.

Examples of wrongdoing include:

• harassment or other inappropriate conduct

• discrimination

• financial misconduct

• substance misuse, gambling addiction or online addiction

• situations that may pose a risk to life or health

• unauthorised disclosure of confidential information

• improper storage of sensitive documents or information

Norec’s whistleblowing team handles reports concerning suspected financial misconduct involving Norec funding and reports of harassment involving Norec partners.

Norec employees may also use the external whistleblowing channel to report wrongdoing.

Norec is not the employer of project participants. Where possible and appropriate, we recommend that you report concerns through your organisation’s internal reporting procedures first. Norec partners are required to notify Norec of wrongdoing affecting their projects.

Norec takes all reports seriously. We treat all reports confidentially.

If you wish to remain anonymous, or if there are other reasons why you do not want to report directly to Norec, you can use the external whistleblowing channel.

You may choose whether to report anonymously. You may also choose to remain anonymous to Norec, so that only Ernst & Young knows your identity.

Please note that anonymous reporting can, in many cases, make it more difficult to investigate and follow up on a report.
