This project brings together young musicians and organisers from Norway, Brazil and Malawi to strengthen youth leadership through music and culture. The project responds to shared challenges across the three countries. Young people are rarely given leadership roles, access to music and cultural activities is limited, and gender equality remains a barrier, especially for women and non-binary people. There is also a need to protect cultural expression and reach wider audiences. Through exchange, participants take on roles in music education, events and community activities. They share skills, develop programmes and work with local partners to increase access to music and cultural participation. The project aims to strengthen youth leadership, promote gender equality, and support organisations in reaching more diverse communities through music and culture.
