This project improves reading and writing skills for children in rural Colombia and Guatemala. Through exchange, the partners will adapt a successful literacy programme to fit rural schools. A pilot will be run in 10 schools, reaching 1,200 students and training teachers. The project also helps both organisations improve how they monitor results and plan for the long term. The partners share knowledge and build local solutions. Together, they aim to tackle the serious learning gap made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic, and help more children learn to read with confidence.
