Round application and report
A work exchange project is divided into rounds of exchange. A round is a period when participants are on work placements abroad. Each round normally lasts from 6 to 12 months, but Norec may allow exceptions. A collaboration agreement with Norec may include two or more rounds of exchange.
The round description sets out what the participants will do during the exchange, including the activities, tasks and assignments that will help them achieve the project objectives.
The partnership must submit a round description and round budget to Norec for each round of exchange.

Use the template below
Budget
The partnership must also submit a round budget using the latest version of the budget template.
Documents required from all partners in the project:
- Most recent annual report
- Financial statement no more than three months old (does not need to be audited)
- Latest audited and consolidated financial statements
We advise the coordinating partner to collect all documents on behalf of the partnership and submit all documents to the programme adviser in one e-mail.
Reporting – round
After each round of exchange, the coordinating partner must report on the activities, costs and results of the project. They must also submit a consolidated audit report on the Norec funds on behalf of the partnership.
How to report
No later than four months after the participants’ follow-up period ends, the partnership must submit:
- a narrative round report
- a consolidated financial report (use the template in the approved round budget)
- a consolidated audit report
Note that after the final round, the coordinating partner submits a result report instead of a round report.
Auditor certificate
Norec requires audit firms that audit Norec funds to be authorised by the relevant national authority. You must therefore provide a valid auditor certificate or a link to the auditor’s authorisation.
