This project connects hospitals in India and Norway to improve care for sick and premature newborns. Nurses and health workers at LHMC and KSCH in Delhi will learn new skills in neonatal care, breastfeeding support, and donor milk management. At the same time, staff from Oslo University Hospital gain experience working in diverse and low-resource settings. The exchange focuses on teaching, teamwork and building cultural understanding. The goal is to reduce newborn deaths by improving care in the first days of life. The project also supports human milk banking and helps more newborns get access to their mother’s milk or safe donor milk.
