Pocket Guide: Support survivors of gender-based violence (GBV)

Norec has a zero tolerance policy on Sexual Explotation, Abuse and Harassment (SEAH). We have selected some good resources that we recommend to both Norec partners and others who work with SEAH in the humanitarian sector. Here you will find a pocket guide from IASC.

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign affairs and Norec has a zero tolerance on SEAH - Sexual Explotation, Abuse and Harassment. Norec staff, partners and participants are obliged to follow this - and have included SEAH in our trainings.

This Pocket Guide from Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) provides all humanitarian practitioners with information on: 1) How to support a survivor of gender-based violence (GBV); 2) Who discloses their experience of GBV with you; 3) In a context where there is no GBV actor.

This can be used as it is in-house - or as an inspiration for your own organisation's guidelines.

Other good resources about SEAH are found on IASCs website.
