The Universidad en el Campo program in Nicaragua and Colombia creates educational opportunities for students in rural areas, strengthening career opportunities and entrepreneurship outside of the city centers.  Through the exchange of master teachers with expertise in rural entrepreneurship issues like agricultural business administration, livestock production, and environmental sanitation, the project aims to strengthen rural economies and combat urbanization. The expert teachers will help to prepare and implement relevant curricula and procure resources for projects that benefit the development of rural communities, in hopes that these could be applied as a transfer model across Latin America.
